Viktoriya (Tori) Bogak

Undergraduate Researcher

My name is Viktoriya Bogak, and I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at The Ohio State University pursuing a bachelor's degree in Criminology with a minor in Forensic Science. Although I began my academic journey studying crime and the social world, my time at OSU has sparked a growing interest in science and research. After graduation, I hope to pursue an education or career more tailored towards a science-related field. My interests include pain localization, the effects of anxiety on the human body, and the physiology of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. As an intern in The Rana Lab, I am excited to explore research related to spinal cord injuries and the respiratory system, gain hands-on laboratory experience, and further develop my understanding of neuroscience research. Outside the lab, I enjoy reading, sketching, and studying foreign languages. I am fluent in English and Ukrainian, proficient in Russian, and currently learning Polish.
